In the environment where things change very quickly, there is a rising need for quick status updates for everything. Just like people have long stopped waiting for certain things to happen and have found alternatives, clients also want to skip the wait until testers can diagnose the status of their product. Everyone should remember that testing products takes time.

Here are some useful tips for what testers can do in order to deliver the needed information to the client.

• There are a number of actions that testers undertake after they receive a product for testing. Sanitary check is on top of the list as it ensures that the product is testable.
• Once you have completed this step and found out that the product is indeed testable you can go ahead and give a nice feedback to your client, so the client can perform actions respectively.
• As we have already found out that the product is testable we can go ahead with the functional checking process. It is the job of a tester to check whether there is a new functional and how it is working. If some bug fixes were performed in that version, the tester has to check whether they were fixed and more importantly have they affected other parts of the product.
• Moving on, we need to complete common and critical tests. You should note that these tests will vary with different products. It’s the responsibility of the tester to identify what can be common and critical tests for the product in that phase. After common and critical tests have been successfully completed, the tester should start performing complex tests.

Following these steps, testers will be able to cut the waiting period and give their clients quick feedback regularly establishing a better communication system.
